
Our Story
My name is Caitlin and with my business partner Courtney we are the creators of “THE Apprentice Planner.”
We have owned our boutique salon in Tasmania for over 13 years and have employed over 15 apprentices. In this time, we have obviously made lots of mistakes and learnt A LOT!
Our story began when two of our apprentices went off to have babies and our salon got busier than ever and we ended up working more on the floor than before, tracking the girls progress became an impossible task we just couldn’t keep on top of, and the apprentices themselves found it increasingly harder and more and more overwhelming!





This was when we made our very first planners.
The instant organisation and change in our apprentices were just incredible, they had more clarity, a direct vision and direction and knew exactly where they were at and where they needed to be!
Not to mention the shift of ownership of their apprenticeship and real motivation to be their very best! It was obvious to us that we couldn’t hide this secret, we need to share it with EVERYONE!
AND SO…. THE APPRENTICE PLANNER was born!

We use the planners for:
- Base for our weekly meetings
- Plan and Book in courses for the year
- We track the girls targets and make achievable goals
- The girls can plan models for their school lessons in advance (make sure they are making the most out of their time away from the salon)
- Social Media Planning
- Stop micromanaging and giving the apprentices real ownership of their goals and apprenticeship.
